Adventure
Lanternwood
★★★★★ 4.7
Lanternwood is the kind of adventure that trusts you to slow down. You wander a misty village looking for a missing lamplighter, tapping to examine odd little details and piecing together what happened from scraps of overheard conversation.
The puzzles lean on observation rather than obscure logic, so you rarely feel stuck for the wrong reasons. When we did get stumped, the answer was usually something we'd walked past three times. That's good puzzle design, not cheap trickery.
The art is entirely hand-drawn and the ambient sound does a lot of heavy lifting for the mood. It's short — maybe three hours — but it lingers afterwards. Easily a team favourite this month.
