Tideward Command is a thinking-person's strategy title dressed in soft watercolour art. You manage a string of coastal settlements, deciding where to build seawalls, when to evacuate, and how to spend scarce lumber before the next storm season rolls in.
There's no rush timer bullying you along. Turns take as long as you want, which suits mobile perfectly — you can plan a defence on a lunch break and execute it that evening. The AI storms are genuinely unpredictable, so no two campaigns feel the same.
It asks a bit of patience, and the early menus took the team a while to learn. Push through that and there's a quietly gripping game underneath.
